Live the Life You Want for Your Child
Since I began my entrepreneurial journey to helping moms, my daughter did something inspiring.
It was a beautiful day in Denver, Colorado. My 8-year-old (almost 9 she’ll tell you) daughter decided she wanted to create Hieroglyphic signs. She proceeded to go around to our neighbors and take custom orders so she could earn some money. Out of the blue on a Sunday, she was dressed in her Princess Elsa costume, having a blast, just like that.
She set up a shop on our front porch, grabbed a piece of paper and got enough orders to earn $13.50. Now she can get her doll’s ears pierced, she says.
She asked for a little bit of input on pricing and add-ons, but really 99% was all her. And do you know how difficult it was for me to keep my mouth shut? I wanted to share with her my wealth of business knowledge, I wanted to make suggestions, tell her how to do it ‘better’. When in reality, she’s the one who’s doing it ‘right’.
What tenacity and courage!
If I had spoken the words that were on the tip of my tongue, I would have killed her dream. I would have made it complicated. I would have invited doubt and insecurity.
No spending days, weeks, months, years—ahem—worrying about if anyone would buy, or if she had the right materials, or if her ‘pitch’ was perfect.
She inspired me to keep going. She made my heart soar. I want her to know she can do anything when she grows up. I want to be her inspiration. So I dedicate my career to something I truly believe in. Helping moms lead a life of passion and purpose. Because when it comes down to it, we all want this for our children.
If you aren’t sure what step to take next, set up a free call with me. I would love to meet you.

My main hesitation was being vulnerable and having to really acknowledge I wasn’t supermom and even scarier… that it was ok. I am now more confident in what I am modeling for my daughter. I would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone who is feeling stagnant.”
It was nice to have someone in my corner who was very supportive and helped me envision my next steps in creative ways. It was important to have someone who kept pushing me to work through stuff, keeping me accountable with processing my ideas and moving forward.”
I always felt more focused and uplifted after our sessions. She is incredibly warm and insightful and non-judgmental which creates a space for growth. Because Karen will gently push you to work on what you desire and offer new perspectives. Karen provided direction to my ever-changing focus.”
Most moms feel as if there is too much to do every day and not enough time to do it. Oh how I’ve been there! (And still visit from time to time) But I’m here to tell you there’s a better way! If you feel like life has gotten away from you and it’s leaving you feeling...
Life often seems to come at us in one long big rush. Between kids, a home, a husband, volunteering, working, outside interests, friends, family (and this is just the tip of the iceberg), it is astonishing what a mama can “do”. But is it really working for you? just...
The world around us has cultivated a lot of unhealthy assumptions of what it means to be a mom. How we “should” act, think, feel, and conduct ourselves as women and as mothers. HARMFUL ASSUMPTIONS ACCEPTED AS TRUTH I didn’t wake up today thinking to myself “Gee, I...
